Hindi to English Translation Exercise 55… ये ऐक्सरसाइज़ Hindi to English Translation Book से ली गयी है, जो कि नीचे दिये गये “Spoken English Guru” English Speaking Course की पुस्तकों में से एक है।

इससे पहले कि दिवाकर कुछ सोच पाता, आरव ने सेक्युयरिटी गार्ड को चिल्ला कर बुलाना शुरू कर दिया। उसके चिल्लाने से और भी कई बच्चे आस पास इकट्ठा हो गए, सभी को लगा कि कोई बड़ा हंगामा हुआ है। इतनी भीड़ इकट्ठा होती देख स्कूल के कई शिक्षक भी आ गए। इन सब के बीच दिवाकर इतने सारे लोगों को देख कर और घबरा गया, साथ ही एक अनजान स्कूल में उसका यह पहला दिन था। किसी ने प्रिंसिपल मैडम को भी बुला दिया, उनके आते ही सब लोग शांत हो गए। आरव ने बिना कुछ जाने – सोचे हुए दिवाकर पर यह आरोप लगा दिया कि वह इस स्कूल में बिना दाख़िला लिए घुस आया है, साथ ही उस पर पैसे उधार लेकर फरार होने का भी आरोप लगाया। आरव को पता नहीं था कि दिवाकर स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट देकर इस स्कूल में आया है, अपने पैसे के घमंड और अकड़ के कारण उसने सबके सामने दिवाकर को बहुत सुनाया। जब वह शांत हुआ, प्रिंसिपल मैम वहाँ आयी और उन्होंने रोते हुए दिवाकर के आँसू पोछे। प्रिंसिपल मैम ने बहुत ज़ोर से आरव को डाटा, इस बात की आरव को थोड़ी सी भी उम्मीद नहीं थी बल्कि वो इस ख्याल में था कि दिवाकर को धक्के मार के स्कूल से बाहर निकाला जायेगा। प्रिंसपल ने सबसे पहले सबको दिवाकर के लिए तालियां बजाने को कहा, इसके बाद उन्होंने बड़े ही सम्मान के साथ दिवाकर का स्कूल में स्वागत किया। उन्होंने सबको बताया कि दिवाकर की आर्थिक स्थिति इतनी अच्छी नहीं है लेकिन वह पढ़ने में बहुत होशियार है, उसने स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट में पूरे शहर में दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया है। उन्होंने दिवाकर की और भी सफलतायें सबको बताई, यह सब सुन कर तो मानो ऐसा लग रहा था कि आरव के पैरों तले ज़मीन खिसक गयी। आरव इसी सोच में डूबा रहा कि आखिर एक ऐसा बच्चा जिसे उसने दान में पैसे दिए थे, वो उसके साथ एक ही स्कूल में पढ़ेगा। थोड़े देर बाद जब कुछ सामान्य हुआ, आरव ने अपनी शिक्षक से बात की, उन्होंने समझाया कि कभी भी किसी को कम नहीं आंकना चाहिए। हर किसी में क्षमता होती है इसलिए कोई भी अपने जन्म से नहीं कर्म से महान बनता है।

Translation

Before Diwakar could think of anything, Aarav started yelling at the security guard to come. Many more children gathered around due to his shouting, everyone felt that there was a big uproar. Seeing such a huge crowd gathered around, many school teachers also came. Amidst all this, Diwakar was terrified to see so many people, and this was also his first day in an unknown school. Somebody even called the Principal Madam, everyone got quiet as soon as she came. Aarav, without any prior knowledge, accused Diwakar of the fact that he had entered this school without admission and accused him of absconding with the money. Aarav did not know that Diwakar had come to this school by giving a scholarship test, due to his arrogance and swagger of money; he insulted Diwakar a lot in front of everyone. When he calmed down, principal ma’am came and she wiped the tears of Diwakar, who was crying. Principal Mam scolded Aarav very loudly, Aarav hardly had any idea of this thing coming rather he was thinking that Diwakar would be kicked out of the school. The principal first asked everyone to applaud for Diwakar, after which she welcomed Diwakar to the school with great respect. She told everyone that Diwakar’s financial situation was not so good but he was a bright student, he had secured second place in the city in the scholarship test. He told about other achievements of Diwakar as well, after listening to all this, Aarav was simply taken aback. Aarav was pondering that after all, a child whom he had donated money to, would study with him in the same school. A little later when things returned to normalcy, Aarav spoke to his teacher, she explained that one should never underestimate anyone. Everyone has potential, so one becomes great by karma/deeds, not by birth.
