Hindi to English Translation Exercise 30… ये ऐक्सरसाइज़ Hindi to English Translation Book से ली गयी है, जो कि नीचे दिये गये “Spoken English Guru” English Speaking Course की पुस्तकों में से एक है।

धीरे धीरे ही सही लेकिन रोहित नए शहर में खुद को अकेला महसूस नहीं कर रहा था क्योंकि उसने कई सारे दोस्त बना लिए थे जिनमे से कई अँग्रेज़ भी थे। सब एक साथ पढ़ाई करते और किसी भी सवाल में कोई कठिनाई हो, तो उसे भी मिलकर सुलझा लेते। लंदन एक बहुत ही बड़ा शहर है और यहाँ घूमने की भी बहुत चीज़ें थीं, हर रविवार को रोहित अपने दोस्तों के साथ घूमने जाता था और खूब मज़े करता था।  धीरे – धीरे उन सबकी काफी गहरी दोस्ती हो गयी और इतनी ज़्यादा बढ़ गयी कि अब तो घर भी आना – जाना होता था।  रोहित अपनी पढ़ाई बहुत ही लगन और मेहनत के साथ कर रहा था और अपने दोस्तों को भी कभी – कभार पढ़ा दिया करता था।  लंदन के लॉर्ड्स के मैदान पर अक्सर मैच होते रहते हैं और बीच में भारत और इंग्लैंड के बीच एक श्रृंखला का आयोजन किया गया।  रोहित और उसके दोस्तों ने फाइनल मैच की टिकटें बुक करा ली।  फाइनल मैच हद से ज़्यादा रोमांचक था और अंत में बड़े ही निराले रूप में युवराज सिंह और मोहम्मद कैफ की जांबाज़ परियों के दम पर भारत ने दो विकेट से जीत अपने नाम कर ली।  उस दिन तो रोहित ने खूब जश्न  मनाया और अपने अँग्रेज़ दोस्तों को एक अच्छे जगह डिनर कराने ले गया। इसी प्रकार वे टेनिस की विंबलडन की प्रतियोगिता भी देखने गए जिसमे रोहित का पसंदीदा खिलाड़ी राफेल नडाल बहुत ही अच्छा खेला। इसी प्रकार खेलते – कूदते और पढ़ते – लिखते रोहित के दो साल कैसे निकल गए उसे पता ही नहीं चला।  अब उसके वार्षिक परिणाम घोषित होने वाले थे, वह बहुत ही उत्सुक था। उसने बड़ी मेहनत से पढ़ाई की थी तो उसे पता था कि उसका परिणाम अच्छा ही आने वाला है तो वह सकारात्मक सोच रहा था।  जब परिणाम आया तो उसके उम्मीद से भी ज़्यादा ही अच्छा आया, उसने पूरी यूनिवर्सिटी में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया।  इन सब के बीच सबसे बड़ी बात ये हुई कि उसे इंग्लैंड की और दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी मोबाइल कैरियर कंपनी वोडाफ़ोन से नौकरी का प्रस्ताव आया और वो भी पूरे पाँच करोड़ का। रोहित की ख़ुशी का कोई ठिकाना नहीं था लेकिन उसे इस बात का डर था कि शायद उसके पिता मना ना कर दें।

Translation

Gradually, but Rohit was not feeling alone in the new city as he had made many friends, many of whom were Britishers. Everyone studied together and if anyone faced any difficulty in any question, they would solve it together. London was a big city and there were many things to visit here, every Sunday Rohit used to go with his friends and had a lot of fun. Gradually, they all became very close friends and their bond grew so much that they then even started visiting homes. Rohit was doing his studies with great dedication and hard work and used to teach his friends occasionally. Matches were often held on the grounds of the Lords of London and a series between India and England was held in between. Rohit and his friends booked tickets for the final match. The final match was extremely exciting and in the end, India won by two wickets on the back of Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif’s innings. That day Rohit celebrated a lot and took his English friends for dinner at a good place. Similarly, they also went to watch the Wimbledon competition in tennis, in which Rohit’s favourite player Rafael Nadal played very well. Rohit didn’t realise how smoothly two years passed, enjoying and studying all along. Now that his annual results were about to be announced, he was very eager. He had studied hard, so he knew that his result was going to be good, so he was thinking positively. When the result came, it was better than he had expected, he finished first in the whole university. The biggest thing among all this was that he got a job offer from England and the world’s largest mobile carrier company, Vodafone and that too for a total of five crores. Rohit was extremely delighted but he was afraid that his father might refuse.
