Hindi to English Translation Exercise 31… ये ऐक्सरसाइज़ Hindi to English Translation Book से ली गयी है, जो कि नीचे दिये गये “Spoken English Guru” English Speaking Course की पुस्तकों में से एक है।

रोहित ने वोडाफ़ोन में नौकरी की खबर पहले मामा और उसके बाद पिताजी को बताई। सब घर में बहुत खुश तो हुए लेकिन अब भी मुद्दे की बात यही थी कि रोहित को उसके पिता कारोबार में ही जाने कहेंगे या फिर उसे वोडाफ़ोन में काम करने के लिए मंज़ूरी दे देंगे। पिताजी ने रोहित को अपने कमरे में बुलाया , उन्होंने रोहित से पूछा कि उसका क्या मन है।  आखिर इतना बड़ा सफर था कि उसे मना करने के पहले भी कोई दस बार सोचेगा, पाँच करोड़ रूपए कोई मामूली रकम नहीं है। रोहित ने कहा कि वह पिताजी की बहुत इज़्ज़त करता है और उनकी आज्ञा का पालन करेगा लेकिन उसे वोडाफ़ोन में अपने मन लायक क्षेत्र में काम करने का मौका मिलेगा, जो कि वह हमेशा से चाहता था।  उद्योग धंधा वह संभाल तो लेगा लेकिन वह कभी भी उसमें अपना दिल नहीं लगा पायेगा। रोहित की यह बात पिताजी को उनका निर्णय लेने के लिए पर्याप्त थी , रोहित की इच्छा को ध्यान में रखते हुए, उन्होंने रोहित को वोडाफ़ोन में काम करने की अनुमति दे दी और साथ ही अपनी दो वर्ष पहले दी हुई वो शर्त भी वापस ले ली। रोहित तो जैसे सातवें आसमान पर था क्योंकि उसे यह उम्मीद नहीं थी कि पिताजी कारोबार को छोड़ कर कभी कोई दूसरा काम करने की इजाज़त भी देंगे।  फिर क्या था, रोहित ने तुरंत ही कंपनी ज्वाइन की। लंदन के वोडाफ़ोन के बड़े से ऑफ़िस में रोहित का अपना विशाल सा केबिन था, उसे काफी ऊँची पद पर रखा गया था। रोहित वहाँ बहुत ही खुश था और उसे खुश देख कर घर के सारे लोग खुश थे।

Translation

Rohit told the news of Vodafone’s job first to his maternal uncle and then to his father. Everyone was very happy at home, but still, the matter of discussion was whether Rohit’s father would ask him to go into business or he would permit him to work in Vodafone. Dad called Rohit to his room, he asked Rohit what he wanted. After all, it was such a huge offer that even before refusing it, one would think ten times, five crore rupees is not an ordinary amount. Rohit said that he respected his father a lot and would obey him but he would get a chance to work in his interested area at Vodafone, which he had always wanted. He will be able to handle the business, but he will never be able to put his heart into it. This statement made by Rohit was enough for his father to make his decision, keeping in mind Rohit’s wish, he allowed Rohit to work in Vodafone and also withdrew his condition given two years back. Rohit was on the seventh heaven as he did not expect that his father would ever allow him to do some other thing besides the business. It was just a matter of time, Rohit immediately joined the company. Rohit had his huge cabin in the big office of Vodafone in London; he was placed at a very high position. Rohit was very happy there and all the people in the family were happy to see him cheerful.
