Translation

Hearing these words from that little boy, it was as if Pritam was left shell shocked, and he was sorrowful to see that such small and innocent children were working so hard and leading such a harsh life, seeing all this he was deeply saddened. Forgetting about his hunger, the first of all decided to help the two children. He called the owner of the hotel, who began to say in his explanation that these children were orphans and he used to give them some minor tasks in order to help them financially. Pritam was suspicious of the owner of that dhaba while eating food. He made Siddharth sit beside him and asked him to tell the whole story. After Siddharth told the whole thing, it was found out that he and his sister had escaped from the village to the city, after coming to the city both of them had to endure a lot of hard work to earn money. Finally, the owner of this hotel hired both, initially; his behaviour was very humble and good. His behaviour changed only after a few days, he would not even let them study, used to make them work in the hotel all day and sometimes did not even give them money for two-three months. Pritam asks Siddharth what he was interested in, Siddharth said that he wanted to become a scientist, his sister used to sing very well and she wanted to become a singer. Pritam became pretty emotional on hearing of such big dreams from such young and innocent children. He told Siddharth that he would figure out a way and would take them both along with him from that dhaba so that both of them could get a good education and fulfil all their dreams. Siddharth knew that to make any child below the age of fourteen years work is considered as child labour in India, very strict laws are made in accordance with this in our country. He finished the meal, gave them money and sat down to think of a plan to rescue those children.

  10. The wind was very strong. So fast that it could throw anyone away. I had just reached back home after driving 5 minutes ago. It was dark all around. I heard someone’s footsteps. I started trembling with fear. Suddenly it seemed as if a human shadow was walking towards the main door. Although it was scary, I somehow managed to muster up the courage to go after him. It was none other than my younger brother Aman.
