Writer: I have realized recently that my books have only become a success because of your fine editing.
लेखक: मैंने हाल ही में महसूस किया है कि मेरी किताबें केवल आपके ठीक संपादन की वजह से सफल हुई हैं।

Editor: An edited book without a story wouldn’t be a hit either.
संपादक: एक कहानी के बिना एक संपादित पुस्तक भी तो हिट नहीं होगी।

Writing: Yes, but a story written in a lousy manner wouldn’t be much loved.
लेखन: हाँ, लेकिन जैसे तैसे तरीके से लिखी गई कहानी को बहुत पसंद नहीं किया जाएगा।

Conversation between a Writer and an Editor…

Editor: You’re right. The expression of the words doesn’t come out until they have been represented with the right grammar.
संपादक: आप सही हैं। जब तक उन्हें सही व्याकरण के साथ प्रतिनिधित्व नहीं किया जाता है तब तक शब्दों की अभिव्यक्ति नहीं होती है।

Writer: A book published without editing is just lazy work. Every art deserves to be perfectly polished before coming into the public eye.
लेखक: संपादन के बिना प्रकाशित पुस्तक सिर्फ आलसी काम है। हर कला को लोगों की नज़रों में आने से पहले पूरी तरह से पॉलिश किया जाता है।

Editor: Yes, even if a book is perfectly written; there is no harm in checking it again before releasing it.
संपादक: हां, भले ही कोई किताब पूरी तरह से लिखी गई हो, लेकिन उसे प्रकाशित करने से पहले उसे दोबारा जांचने में कोई बुराई नहीं है।

Writer: I understand now why my first two books didn’t gain any recognition. I thought, to hire an editor was a foolish thing to do but now I see how big of a mistake it was.
लेखक: मुझे अब समझ में आया कि मेरी पहली दो पुस्तकों को कोई मान्यता क्यों नहीं मिली। मैंने सोचता था कि एक संपादक को काम पर रखना एक मूर्खतापूर्ण बात थी, लेकिन अब मैं देखता हूं कि यह कितनी बड़ी गलती थी।
