Riya: We need to clean the house for Diwali so as to not cause mom any trouble.
रिया: हमें दीवाली के लिए घर को साफ करने की ज़रूरत है, ताकि माँ को कोई परेशानी न हो।

Ayush: Mom would love this. We should also help her in other tasks.
आयुष: माँ को यह अच्छा लगेगा। हमें अन्य कार्यों में भी उनकी मदद करनी चाहिए।

Riya: I was thinking the same thing. We won’t let her complain or regret about anything this Diwali.
रिया: मैं भी यही बात सोच रही थी। हम उन्हें इस दिवाली कोई शिकायत या खेद जताने का मौका नहीं देंगे।

Ayush: We can start cleaning from our rooms and then the whole house.
आयुष: हम अपने कमरे और फिर पूरे घर से सफाई शुरू कर सकते हैं।

Riya: Yes, and we should first get rid of the things we don’t need.
रिया: हां, और हमें सबसे पहले उन चीजों से छुटकारा पाना चाहिए जिनकी हमें जरूरत नहीं है।

Ayush: But what would we do with all that stuff?

आयुष: लेकिन हम उन सब सामान का क्या करेंगे?

Conversation between two siblings…

Riya: We can donate them to the needy people so that not just us but everyone can have a good Diwali.
रिया: हम उन्हें जरूरतमंदो को दान कर सकते हैं, ताकि केवल हमारी नहीं बल्कि सभी की दिवाली अच्छी रहे।

Ayush: Good idea. And this will be better if we give up firecrackers too.
आयुष: अच्छा विचार है। और ज्याद बेहतर होगा अगर हम पटाखे भी न जलाएँ इस बार।

Riya: Yes, it would not cause any pollution either.
रिया: हाँ, इससे प्रदूषण भी नहीं होगा।

Ayush: Great, then let’s get to work now.
आयुष: बहुत बढ़िया, तो चलो अब काम पर लगते हैं।

Riya: Okay.
रिया: ठीक है।
